April 4 at Eck Stadium in Wichita, KS

An incredible top of the ninth inning for ISU - eight runs to erase a four-run deficit - allowed the visitors to pick up a huge 12-8 win in Missouri Valley Conference play.
Andy Young had just one home run on the season coming into the ninth, but he started and ended the 11-batter rally with long balls. Both were crushed with the first going to straightaway center field and the other banging high off the scoreboard in left. Wichita State relievers Taylor Goshen, Reagan Biechler and Chandler Sanburn all struggled in the ninth, and both Biechler and Sanborn came in during an at bat and walked in a run. The trio combined for four walks and a hit batsman, but the big plate appearances came from Tony Rosselli, whose sacrifice fly tied the game (Wichita center fielder Michael Burns made a great catch as he was about to hit the wall, which saved at least one more run) and Derek Hannahs, who followed with a go-ahead two-run single to make it a 10-8 game.
* ESPNU color commentator Jay Wright called play-by-play man Matt Stewart "Mark" in the ninth, which I feel was the highlight of the game. He also provided this group of Baseball Phrases:
"They're not going to wow you with the eye test"
"Playing catch with the catcher"
"Wow the radar gun"
"Right now you're in the trail position"
"With the left handed batter on the deck circle"
"He has the DNA to be a good closer"
"Basically an all-arms-on-deck situation right now"
